Felicity Dimitrov: The guilt-ridden girl of ‘Just One’

Character Introduction

Welcome to the first segment of the Character Introduction blog posts. This has been in the works for some time now, waiting patiently on my list of things to start, as all things do. Some items even come to die on those lists, but this is certainly not one of them!

Extracts from my upcoming book “Just One” pertaining to Felicity Dimitrov.

The segment will give more insight into my upcoming novel Just One and sometimes into other characters that might not have anything to do with the series. Simply because I have a lot of creations that deserve my love and attention. Sometimes, I might even give you a little hint about characters that will show up later in the series because, yes, they already exist, even if you won’t meet them for a while.

Felicity Dimitrov. 17. She’s a High School student with raven black hair and piercing blue eyes (this is a big deal, so remember this about Felicity). She has a twin brother called Cameron and an older one named Dominic. Her parents are Melanie and Ivan Dimitrov.

Very little of this matters when you consider the daily turmoil that goes through her head. Felicity has grown up with incredible guilt that she could never explain. She’s never known the cause of it and has been in therapy for a long time. It hasn’t helped because she can’t be honest with the doctors about the state of her being, the history she somewhat knows she has.

Felicity knows she wasn’t born on this planet.

She also knows she can enter people’s souls and read their deepest desires.

She’s also recently discovered her brother died in said past and “knows” it’s her fault.

And on top of everything else, Felicity is starting to see that a girl she’s had almost no interaction with sees her better than anyone else. Rebecca shouldn’t be that significant in her life, yet the intrigue grows the more time she spends with the other girl…

Felicity is a very important character to me in this version and the lives she leads before and after Just One. The storyline between her and Rebecca is even more so because it opens up much more depth into the series beyond what I had initially imagined through the main couple. I would never call Felicity Dimitrov a minor character in the story. Still, from being one of the mains, but not intended to be the centre of the plot, she’s breathed in life and demanded more of my attention than anticipated.

That’s all for today’s segment of Character Introduction, brought to you by this writer’s love for her creations. Next week, someone else will have a chance to shine. While I would love to get Rebecca Jordan into the spotlight, I think I’ll leave you wondering a little longer about her story.

Thanks for reading,

~ Love, L. V.
